About the Vietnam National Domain Name Server System
The Vietnam National Domain Name Server System is the core technical system that ensures the operation and stability of Viet Nam’s national domain name (country code Top-Level Domain – ccTLD “.vn”) on the Internet.
The Viet Nam Internet Network Information Center (VNNIC), under the Ministry of Science and Technology, establishes, manages, and operates the “.vn” name servers.
The main functions of the Vietnam National Domain Name Server System include:
Managing the “.vn” top-level domain name space and second-level domains under “.vn”, such as “.com.vn”, “.net.vn”, “.org.vn”, etc.;
Delegating portions of the “.vn” namespace to qualified organizations for management in accordance with national policy and law;
Responding authoritatively to DNS queries for “.vn” domain names, ensuring continuous, fast, and secure resolution of “.vn” domain names for Internet users worldwide.
