Internet resources in Viet Nam
Internet resources are a critical parameter for Internet operations. In Vietnam, Internet resources including “.vn” ccTLD, Internet addresses (IPv4/IPv6), Autonomous system number (ASN) are national information resources. Internet resources are concentratively managed by Vietnamese Government (Ministry of Information and Communications - MIC) as a method to manage and supervise Internet operations to ensure the stability of Internet in Vietnam.
Vietnam Internet Network Information Center (VNNIC) was delegated by MIC to carry out the functions of managing, allocating, supervising and promoting the use of Internet resources in Vietnam.
Over the past few years, the quantity of Internet resources in Vietnam has significantly grown, reflecting the considerable development rate of Internet operations in Vietnam.

- Telecommunication Law.
- Circular No. 48/2025/TT-BKHCN on December 25, 2025 of the Ministry of Science and Technology on the Guidelines for the Management and Use of Internet Resources.
- Decree No. 147/2024/ND-CP on November 09, 2024 on the Management, Provision, and Use of Internet Services and Information on the Network.
- Circular No. 10/2025/TT-BTC on March 19, 2025 of Ministry of Finance on the Regulations on the rates, collection methods, payment, management, and use of fees for maintaining and using Internet resources, and fees for allocating and granting Internet resources.
